CHIEF CONSULTANT, IAN CLARK
Ian Clark, 41, has completed five seasons as the Vancouver Canuck Goaltending Consultant after being named to the position on July 31, 2002. A former resident Vancouver, Clark currently resides in Dallas TX and is the founder and President of GDI. He is also the Technical Writer of The Goalie News and former Editor-in-Chief of From the Crease. Both of these publications represent the pinnacle in modern goaltending instruction.
Clark is recognized as one of the leading educators of the goaltending position. His knowledge and innovative approach has attracted high-performance goaltenders at the NHL, Minor Pro, Major Junior and NCAA levels of play.
In 2001-02, Clark worked as the Florida Panthers Goaltending Consultant. Clark has consulted privately with goaltenders drafted or signed with most NHL clubs. Additionally, Clark was the Goaltending Consultant for Hockey Canada from 2001-2006.
