Analysis: Arguably the Canucks' top prospect, Schneider absolutely clogs the net. His technical butterfly style leaves very little for shooter to aim at. Schneider's positioning is as sound as anyone in the junior or college ranks. He's also a great on-ice leader who works extremely well guiding his defencemen. Back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances have cemented his place as one of the top goalie prospects in the world. He has the potential to be an All-Star No. 1 goalie.
Scout Update: Cory’s stats really don’t tell the story. He had a very rough start to the season, however, in the last few weeks, he’s not only found his footing, but he’s found his game as well. He has been arguably the Moose’s best goaltender in the last three weeks, and has given the team quite the boost when D-Mac is not tending the crease. His GAA and save percentage totals have consistently improved month after month and with six goals allowed in his last four games and all of those games resulting in two points for Manitoba, the Moose finally have as dangerous a 1-2 goalie punch as was predicted they’d have at the start of the season.
