2007-08 HIGHLIGHTS: Was 26-18-1 with a 2.66 GAA, .913 save pct. & four shutouts in 47 GP in first season with Edmonton...tied for 9th in shutouts in NHL…was 16-10-0 at Rexall Place & 10-8-1 on the road…won Oilers Molson Cup Award...named NHLs Second Star for week ending Jan. 13 (3-0-0, 1.01 GAA & .968 save pct)…his 26 wins were 18th in NHL & five shy of career-high 31 recorded with Los Angeles in 2005-06…was 14-1 in overtime, including 10-0 in shootouts, stopping 30 of 32 shots (.938)…his 10 shootout wins tied him with Ryan Miller (Buffalo, 2006-07) & Martin Brodeur (New Jersey, 2006-07) for the NHL record for most shootout wins in a season...his four shutouts tied his single-season high set with Los Angeles in 2005-06...made 29 saves in 1-0 SO win at Vancouver on Nov. 14 to register his first career Oilers shutout…had shutouts at Anaheim (4-0, 25 saves, Dec. 2), NY Islanders (4-0, 35 saves, Jan. 7) & Calgary (5-0, 24 saves, Feb. 4)…had two scoreless streaks of over 100 minutes, blanking opponents for 106:43 (Nov. 14-17) & 101:43 (Jan. 7-10)…made season-high 40 saves, including 21 in 3rd period, in 4-1 win vs. Chicago (Feb. 6); the 40 saves fell 6 shy of his single-game career-high of 46 in a 3-2 win at LA on Mar. 6, 2004 while with Montreal…played 1st Oilers game vs. Philadelphia on Oct. 6 & made 22 saves in 5-3 win to record 1st career Oilers win…faced two penalty shots, stopping Shane Doan vs. Phoenix (Jan. 10) & allowed his first penalty shot goal as Eric Staal scored in a 7-2 loss at Carolina (Jan. 18)…was 7-2-0 in his last nine games (Feb. 24-Mar. 13) before missing season’s final 11 games (Mar. 15-Apr. 3)…had two four-game winning streaks (Jan. 5-13 & Feb. 24-Mar. 2).
2006-07: 2nd season with LA Kings saw him go 13-10-6 with two shutouts, a .907 save pct. & 2.66 GAA in 32 games…led Kings goaltenders in wins, GAA, save percentage, shutouts & games…was 1-3 in four shootouts, stopping 11 of 18 shootout attempts (.611)…had a four-game winning streak with a 4-0-0 record from March 12-23…registered two shutouts, making 26 saves vs. Columbus ( 3-0, Jan. 3) and 40 saves at Phoenix (4-0, Oct. 19)… finished the season ranked 7th all-time in Kings history with six shutouts and 8th all-time with 44 career wins…began the season with a hot hand, as he led the NHL with a 1.72 GAA and was 2nd in the league with a .941 save pct. through seven games in October…missed total of 21 games due to injury.
