3 GDI goalies drafted

GDI goalies Josh Unice, Brad Eidsness and Torrie Jung have been drafted to the NHL.

The National Hockey League held it's annual Entry Draft on June 22, 23. Amongst those drafted were GDI goalies Josh Unice, Brad Eidsness and Torrie Jung.

Unice, who has been a student with GDI for the past nine years, was chosen in the third round (86 overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks. Josh played last season with the U.S. U18 team.

Brad Eidsness was drafted by the Buffalo Sabers in the fifth round (139 overall). Brad has been a student with GDI for the past four years and will be instructing this year in Chestermere. Last season Eidsness played with Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL and received a scholarship to the University of North Dakota.

The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Torrie Jung in the seventh round (183 overall). Torrie plays for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL and worked with GDI at the regional level in Duncan last year.
