Biography:

Joining GDI from St. John\'s, Newfoundland, Peter White currently serves as the Goaltending Coach for the St. John\'s Fog Devils of the QMJHL. During his seven-year coaching career, Peter has spent two years as Head Instructor for the Newfoundland Blizzard Elite Goaltending Schools and as a selection consultant for various local Minor teams. Previously, Peter worked for four years as Assistant/Goaltending Coach for the St. John\'s AAA Midget Maple Leafs, as well as the Goaltending Consultant for Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador\'s Program of Excellence teams from 2000-2003. Peter has coached a number of goaltenders that have moved on to Junior A, Major Junior, college and minor pro hockey and is currently completing his NCCP High Performance 1 coaching certification through Hockey Canada.

As a goaltender, Peter played on many provincial minor hockey championship teams and made appearances at the Air Canada Cup (national midget) and Colonel Sanders Cup (national juvenile) where he won a bronze medal.

Born in St. John\'s, Peter lives with his wife Anne and two children, Kathleen and Julia.
